This is some of the progress I have made this block at Breda University games. I was tasked to lead the design of the environment and pipeline. For this project, I opted for a camera projection pipeline due to the lack of any 3D environment artists in our team. For this pipeline, I created the concepts for the assets that would have to be made, after which they are modeled. I then use this model as a base to paint the textures from a fixed camera angle. I paint these projection paintings in higher detail, and with overcast diffuse lighting info so the lighting can be adjusted dynamically in-engine.
